As a non-profit organisation we are able to employ dedicated, experienced, well-qualified Senior Group Leaders and qualified assistants in all groups.
Educational Programmes.
The children at the Centre are divided into three groups
Babies Group
6 weeks to 2 years
Our Group Leader and Assistant care for 8 Babies each day.
Christine - Group Leader
Christine has worked in the baby nursery at GCCC for 23 years, and has
more than 24 years' experience in the child care industry. She holds a
Diploma of Child Care and Education, as well as a Maternal and Child Health
Assistant's Certificate.
Shirley - Assistant
Shirley has 17 years' experience in the child care industry, with the
past 7 years spent at GCCC. She holds a Certificate 3 in Children's
Services , Diploma of Children's Services.
Shirley is married with three adult children.

2 - 3 Years Group
Our Group Leader and Assistant care for 12 Two Year Olds each
Day.
Claudia - Group Leader
Originally from Chile, Claudia speaks fluent Spanish. She has a Diploma
of Children's Services and a Certificate 111 in Children's Services. Claudia has 10 years
experience in the child care industry and has worked at the centre for 8
years. She and her partner have two sons and a daughter.
Annette - Assistant
Annette holds a Diploma of Childcare and Education and has 9.5 years experince in the Childcare Industry both in New South Wales and Queensland.

3 - 5 Years Group
Our Group Leader and Assistant care for up to 24 Three to Five
Year olds each day.
Paula - Assistant Director; Group Leader, 3-5 yrs
Paula has worked at GCCC since joining the child care industry 13 years ago. She holds a Diploma of Children's Service, Certificate 3 in Childrens Service and Advanced Diploma of Childrens Services.
Monica - Assistant 3-5 Years
Monica has worked at GCCC since 2004 and holds a
Certificate 111 in Children's Services. She is married with three children
and speaks fluent Spanish.

DAILY ROUTINE
Approximate Times:-
6.30a.m. Staff open centre and welcome children.
Activities are set up for a relaxed atmosphere for the children to play.
Children given Breakfast brought by parents if necessary
7.45a.m. Start to tidy up the toys, toilet children, Finish breakfasts. Sunscreen.
8.00a.m. Transition – Finger Play and Rhymes
If weather permits us to go outside, children are sunscreened and hats are put on.
Provided outside is an enriched physical environment for the children to learn
and grow in. (Refer morning policy).
9.00a.m. Pre-School children are taken to pre-school.
9.15a.m. Morning Tea is ready for the Babies, consisting of savoury sandwiches, fruit
and milk.
2-3 Years Bathroom Routine
9.30a.m. 2-3’s and 3-5’s Group start their Morning Tea.
9.45a.m. Babies and 2-3’s start their activities. Staff from each room programme
appropriately for their age groups.
10.00a.m. 3-5’s start their group time which involves singing/stories/music.
10.15a.m. 3-5’s have their activity time. Providing an age appropriate programme
10.40a.m. 2-3’s and 3-5’s Tidy Up Time.
10.50a.m. Babies and 2-3’s have their group time which usually involves singing. They then go
outside to play along with the Babies and 3-5’s.
11.10a.m. Babies come inside and wash hands and faces.
11.15a.m. Babies lunch is ready which includes a nutritious meal and vegetables.
11.20a.m. 2-3’s bathroom routine.
11.30a.m. 2-3’s and 3-5’s lunch is ready which includes a healthy cooked meal each day
along with a drink of cold water.
11.45a.m. Babies nappies are checked before the babies are settled to sleep.
12.00 midday 3-5’s and 2-3’s are cleaning their teeth.
12 – 1.00p.m. All children rest at 1p.m.
1.00p.m.-1.50p.m. Pre-school children have quiet activities.
1.45p.m. Children are waking up and quiet activities are set up for them whilst they wait
for the rest of the children to wake.
2.00p.m. Afternoon Tea consists of a healthy snack and milk
2.30p.m. Pre-school children are collected.
2.30p.m. By this time if weather is fine all groups all outside playing together. If it is raining then
groups stay in their own room. (Refer Afternoon Policy).
3.30p.m. Nappy Change and 2-3 Toileting.
3.40p.m. Staff and children start to tidy up large playground toys depending on the weather.
4.30 p.m. Children wash their hands and have their “late” afternoon tea - a healthy snack provided by
parents.
All smaller toys i.e. sandpit toys, balls etc. tidied away.
4.45p.m. Move inside, wash faces and clean children. Put toys out for the children to play with
and say good-byes.
5.30p.m. Centre closed
